Volunteer Application

Naval Air Station Kingsville will be hosting the “Wings Over South Texas Air Show 2007” on Saturday, the 5th and Sunday, the 6th of April. This two-day show will feature the United States Navy Blue Angels flight demonstration team as well as many other events. We are planning on having one of the largest air shows in the South Texas region. We are currently seeking 256 volunteers to work the food and merchandise booths each day for this year’s air show.

Each volunteer group will be paid 10% of the net sales that are made from their booth during the air show, minus cash and inventory shortages from sales.

It is mandatory that each group have a designated Team Leader. A Team Leader Training Course will be given and each Team Leader must attend the training.

Each volunteer is to:
• Dress comfortably but protective shoes (No open toes)
• Shirts must have sleeves (No tank tops)
• Head covering (cap, visor, or hairnet)
• Dress according to weather (Jackets, caps, etc.)

A $7.00 food voucher will be supplied to each volunteer per day and will only be valid for food purchase. It may not be used for merchandise or beer purchase. A cup will also be supplied, so unlimited soft drinks will be available with this cup only. Vendor parking vouchers will be given, but carpooling is strongly encouraged.

You must be 18 years of age or older to work at any booth. You must be 21 years of age or older to work at the alcohol booths. No alcohol may be consumed during the shifts. Beer servers must comply with all Texas and United States Navy requirements.
